Nestled in a quite alcove of the rapidly growing community of Garden City in North Jacksonville, this 1200 square foot townhouse was completely updated from its original builder’s basic style

Originally built in 2008, the townhouse featured neutral tile floors throughout the main level. The open floor plan gave a clear view from the entry to the rear of the house. Located on the rear of the great room is the kitchen and dining areas. The kitchen featured underwhelming builder-grade finishes: orange-stained oak builder grade cabinets, sage green speckled laminate countertops punctuated by standard low-grade black appliances.

Jehan, with the help of her design team, elevated the interiors from builder-basic to customized luxury starting with a full kitchen renovation. The builder layout was nearly perfect in its design. It was efficient and comfortable for multiple people to work in. JWI focused on creating a luxury custom design built on the original floor plan. The new cabinets are linen white with upgraded shaker doors accented with champagne- gold hardware. They have been finished off topped with crown molding and a beautiful light rail. The varying heights of the cabinets were designed to accentuate the nine-foot-high ceiling.

Focused on modern timeless luxury, we put a twist on a classic by selecting the beveled gray subway tile backsplash with a glossy finish. Authentically chic in its simplicity, we felt the subway tile would always feel current. The Granite countertops create a cohesive finish by pulling in the colors of the surrounding finishes. The Gray and white stone is speckled with black onyx and beautiful garnet rubies. We finished off the space by selecting a suite of stainless-steel appliances. The counter depth four-door refrigerator not only allowed all sides to be covered within the refrigerator cabinet, it also allowed the island to be expanded six inches wider than the original.
